The driving exam and the theory test
I remember preparing for the driving licence exam as a very demanding period of my life. I started attending the driving course three months before turning eighteen because I couldn't wait to pass the exam and I wanted to take it just after my birthday. To get ready for the theory test I read the whole rule book with law of the road as well as did a thousand of practice tests. My instructor told me that he hadn't met a person better prepared for the exam. And my driving was also really good, probably because I took several additional lessons with the instructor. So when I entered the examination room I should have feel calm and relaxed, still I was quite stressed out. First I sat in front of the computer to take the free theory test. It seemed quite easy and, in fact, I scored the most number of points. Then the examiner asked us to follow him to the proving ground and the practical part of the exam started. I'd realised that it would be more difficult than the theory test but the worst part was the road test. We had to drive for about half an hour and return to the examination centre without making any serious mistake. Although I tried as hard as I could, I wasn't able to overcome the stress and I didn't notice the red light. Fortunately, I didn't cause any accident but, of course, I failed the exam.
